About this Job:

The individual in this role will be responsible for the designing, implementing and providing support for the overall NielsenIQ TIBCO Managed File Transfer (MFT) services, including customer facing services. The Senior Engineer will support the business goals, objectives, strategies and operations of MFT at NielsenIQ.

Rationale:

As a key member of the NielsenIQ Shared Platforms team, the Senior Engineer will require an in-depth understanding of MFT solutions and architecture, cloud (Azure) technologies, implementation, operations and support. This individual will need to possess an understanding of application and infrastructure services and technologies. The role is part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced organization, requiring customer and business focus and demonstrated senior-level skills/experience associated with leadership, management and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Will assist with development of MFT Services strategy of corporate and customer environments
  • Will enforce and support the definition and execution of technical services that provide NielsenIQ with highly reliable, secure, flexible and cost effective MFT services
  • Will partner closely with key customers, business, and IT team members to plan, implement, manage & support of the appropriate capabilities (i.e., policies, processes, standard operating procedures, team/skills, measures and tools) to successfully address MFT Services requirements
Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer sciences, engineering, management information systems or another IT-related major.
  • Masters preferred.
Experience:
  • 10+ years experience with IT solutions
  • Minimum 5 years TIBCO MFT experience. (Candidates with less than 5 years' experience are still encouraged to apply and can be considered for a lower position)
  • Technology leadership and platform ownership
  • Preferred experience with cloud computing architectures
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • TIBCO certifications preferred but not required
  • Azure certifications preferred but not required
EXPERT LEVEL KNOWLEDGE OF:
  • Managed File Transfers technologies including but not limited to TIBCO MFT (Command Center, Internet Server, Platform Server)
  • Linux and Windows operating systems
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Cloud service provider experience including but not limited to Azure and AWS
  • Expert level skills with TIBCO MFT for architecture, maintenance, support, upgrades, security risk assessment
  • Strong working knowledge with SaaS Vendors and its integration environment
  • Strong working knowledge on Fail-over and load balancing concepts in TIBCO MFT environment
  • Expert level skills with TIBCO MFT Command Center, Internet Server and Platform Server
  • Strong level skills with transfer protocols and certificate and key management.

  • High availability and Disaster recover
  • Strong level working knowledge of client-side and server-side scripting languages
  • Strong level working knowledge of SQL query
  • Analytical problem solver with good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Performs with a strong sense of professionalism and tact. Must be able to communicate effectively to IT and Business
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented individual. Demonstrated record of initiative, adaptability, reliability, and decision making
  • Must have the ability to work individually and as part of a technical team
  • Proven ability to seek out and solve problems; go beyond the obvious to gain insight into areas which have broader impact on the company's overall performance
  • Strong understanding of business principles and operational drivers
  • Strong understanding of web application testing technologies, methods, and techniques
  • Strong documentation skills
