Work as Senior Engineer in process department for upstream, mid, and downstream oil & gas projects

Your tasks will include:

• Preparation of process flow diagrams and utility flow diagrams
• preparation of piping and instrument diagrams
• Specification of process equipment
• Preparation of process cause and effect diagrams
• Process simulations using Hysys or other tools and heat map diagram
• Calculation of safety valves arrangements including dimensioning of flare systems, Pipenet / Flarenet Simulations.
• Preparation of process & utility design basis, system & process description, simulation report, process control narratives.
• Well versed in feed & detailed engineering, pre-bid engineering, vendor specification review.
• Participation in various workshops like HAZID, HAZOP, SIL studies.
• Process calculations - blow down arrangements, equipment sizing, pump hydraulics - NPSH calculations, line sizing, PSV sizing, control valve sizing and heat and mass balance
• Preparing utility consumption schedule.
• Preparing SAFE Charts and cause & effect diagrams.
• Preparing line list, fluid list and set point schedule.
• Inter disciplinary checking of datasheets, RFQ, general arrangement- piping & equipment.
• Preparing proposals - cost estimation, and man-hour estimation
• Preparing operation and Maintenance Manual
• Reviewing vendor documents - heat exchanger, pumps, packages, vessel, etc.

Important Relations.

• HOD / Lead Engineer
• Works with other engineers in the project team within and outside Chennai
• Works with process counterparts in other regions

A Good team player who communicates well, transparent and takes initiative.

You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you are person who takes ownership and responsibility for his / her deliverables. You like to work independently with least support from others.

Apart from the above qualities, to succeed in this position, you need the following competences:

• Master / bachelor of chemical engineering
• Should have the experience of 10+ years in consulting, out of which minimum 5 years in offshore engineering projects is a must.
• Should be a hands-on person able to handle deliverables as a doer and checker and able to manage stringent time schedule.
• Preferably have international experience
• Process design experience in 'green energy', hydrogen (PtX), oil and Gas & offshore substation industries
• Knowledge of international design standards such as NFPA, API, IEC
• Excellent in English skills oral and written is very important and a requirement.
• A personality with strong decision making & problem-solving skills with ability to motivate / lead others in a team environment
• Skilled user of Microsoft office - excel, word
• Ability to work from home when required
• To start in Ramboll in 2 to 3 months.
