: Power BI and Snowflake Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI and Snowflake Engineer to join our team. As a Power BI and Snowflake Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data visualization and analytics solutions using Power BI and Snowflake. You will work closely with business stakeholders and data teams to gather requirements, design and implement data models, build interactive dashboards, and ensure data accuracy and performance within Snowflake.

Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their data visualization needs.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data visualizations.
• Implement data transformations and calculations to support business analytics requirements.
• Design and implement Snowflake data models:

• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to design and develop efficient Snowflake data models.
• Create and optimize schemas, tables, views, and other database objects within Snowflake.
• Ensure data quality and consistency by implementing appropriate data governance and validation techniques.
• Develop and maintain data integration pipelines to ingest data from various sources into Snowflake.
• Optimize performance and scalability:

• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize queries, data models, and dashboards for improved performance.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Implement best practices for data modeling, indexing, and query optimization within Snowflake.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure the scalability and reliability of the Snowflake platform.
• Data governance and security:

• Implement data security measures, including access controls, data encryption, and data masking, within Snowflake.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data governance and privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with data governance teams to establish and enforce data quality and data management standards.
• Documentation and training:

• Document technical specifications, data models, and data integration processes.
• Provide training and support to end-users on the usage and best practices of Power BI and Snowflake.
• Create documentation and knowledge resources for the Power BI and Snowflake solutions.

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Power BI developer or consultant, working with complex data models and interactive dashboards, minimum 5+ years.
• Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling concepts, minimum 5+ years.
• In-depth knowledge of Snowflake data warehousing concepts, architecture, and best practices.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data integration techniques.
• Experience with data visualization best practices and design principles.
• Proficiency in Power Query, DAX, and M or other relevant Power BI languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications in Power BI and Snowflake (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Snowflake Certified Professional) are a plus.
