ARM’s CPU group develops high performance CPU cores that drive many of today’s digital devices. Customers demand high quality and reliable IP to be delivered always. Against this background, ARM has embraced a 'right-first-time' methodology and recognizes the need for dedicated engineers to work with the IP teams to ensure ARM IP always works as promised and is complete. Arm CPU IPs are highly configurable and supports wide range of configurations catering the partners need. In this context, Delivering a quality IP plays an important role requiring engineering abilities that are both broad and deep. Arm delivers high quality integration testbenches along with the CPU IPs to ensure that the partner configurations are compatible with the IPs delivered. This requires an insight both of the 'big picture' at the architectural level and of the detail at the implementation level. The role will involve working together with Senior Tech Leads of different CPU teams as well as other diverse teams across the organisation.

Job Requirements: Key Accountabilities:

Key Accountabilities:

• Strong technical contribution as part of project teams to deliver quality integration testbenches along with the Arm CPUs
• Design and development of test cases, testbench components and infrastructure needed for integration testbenches
• Effective communication skills, as most of the partners are cross site, EDA vendors, in terms of planning, reviews, status updates and meetings, as well as delivery against expectation
• Able to provide appropriate estimation of the work assigned and assist in project planning by providing appropriate inputs
• Maintain a proficient knowledge of company processes to work constructively within given standards and methodologies
• Execution of CPU configurations and Integration testing with focus on improvement of IP quality; bug hunting

Required Education

• Good university Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Other Science graduates would be considered if they have relevant experience

Essential Experience:

• 4 to 8 years of related experience in an IP/SOC product development environment
• Experience with Design Verification/validation standard methodologies such as Test Plan development, Testbench development and measurable execution thereof.
• Familiar with Microprocessor and/or SoC Architecture and micro Architecture, preferably Arm processors and Arm processor- based systems
• Familiar with AMBA bus protocols
• Good analytical and solving skills

Desirable Experience:

• Familiar with instruction based verification of processors based on Assembly or C/C++.
• Familiar with SoC/ASIC integration flow and architectures.
• Languages: Verilog, C/C++, SystemVerilog, Arm/X86 Assembly, Any scripting language(Perl/Ruby/Python), Makefiles, UPF
• Tools: Familiarity with Simulation tools (MTI, VCS, XUS), Test Compilers (GCC, ARMC)
• Experience of ARM based System Designs and hierarchical memory system
• Detailed knowledge of CPUs, Partner use cases, testbench and verification methodology
• Some experience on gate level netlist and low power simulations, Knowledge on some industry stand benchmarking to measure power and performance will be an added advantage
