We are looking for a hands-on senior data engineer to join the data management team supporting data warehouse and reporting solutions. The data management team is spread across India and United Kingdom and is responsible for integrating data from various upstream systems and transform the same to suit the reporting and analytics needs of various business lines.

• This is a 90% hands-on and 10% management-based role - giving you the opportunity to work on technical projects alongside working with the business
• Manage the existing data and reporting platform using data warehouse
• Build future-state cloud-based data platform, with real-time data ingestion and sharing
• Collaborate with data architects to develop data models and data dictionaries
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand and translate requirements, design, build and test solutions

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 year\'s experience of working as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Highly proficient in Python scripting, SQL programming including PostgreSQL
• Good grasp of modern data technologies (distributed systems, data streaming, event-driven architecture).
• Experience with master data, reference data and metadata with a wider business context
• Issue resolution process, data analysis, data quality monitoring and visualization, definition of KPI
• Experience in building ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Previous experience working in Azure environment using Azure Modern Data Warehouse including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Bricks
• Strong communication skill

Nice to have

• VFX industry experience/knowledge is desirable but not essential
• Consultancy experience is desirable but not essential
• Power BI design and development experience are desirable but not essential
