We are looking for a Software Data Engineer to join our HDS Data Delivery Team in Bangalore, India. This is an amazing opportunity to work on large scale Data Lake and Analytics solutions. The candidate will be reporting to the Principal Data Engineer. The candidate must have strong development skills and experience in developing large-scale database solutions for enterprise applications. As a Software Engineer in Data Engineering team, your role is to implement and maintain solutions that help build world class enterprise data lake and analytics applications catering to various customer and operational analytic needs. Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science from a top tier university Skills Required: 3 to 5 years of Information Management experience including hands-on design and development experience. Exposure to a Data warehouse / BI project in a Healthcare Domain Excellent understanding of the Data warehouse life cycle right from data source to ETL to transformations to multidimensional models like data marts Very strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in Talend. Good knowledge of ETL, including the ability to read and write efficient, robust code, follow or implement best practices and coding standards, design/implement common ETL strategies (CDC, SCD, etc.), and create reusable/maintainable jobs. Solid background in database systems (such as Oracle, SQL Server, Redshift and Snowflake) along with strong knowledge of PL/SQL and SQL. Experience in handling large volume of data and building data pipelines. Possess good knowledge of Agile/other SDLC methodologies. Collaborate with team, analyze and apply business rules to data transformations. Ability to understand the business functionality of the project being delivered Strong oral and written communication skills Skills Desired: Experience with Snowflake is desirable however any other database like UDB or Oracle or SQL Server or Sybase can be considered Python and core java as good to have skills Experience of working on Healthcare Domain About the team: The data delivery team consists of 3 developer roles and a Lead Data engineer.
