Job Description


The Senior Coordinator- Farm Livelihoods will be an integral part of our ongoing livelihood project partnerships with a few large companies under CSR ambit The incumbent will be handling a team of field coordinators working with farmers Responsibilities Ensure mobilization of farmers to meet the project onboarding targets through follow up with field coordinators Take necessary steps for formation and registration of FPO/FPC Facilitate the linkages of FPO / FPC with relevant stakeholders and government departments Development of content for training modules and IEC materials on regenerative, climate resilient and sustainable agriculture practices. Implement strategies for effectively mobilizing farmers to participate in training programs and promote adoption of training practices by them in alignment to project timelines and track implementation against the same Take necessary steps to develop model farm plot and training centre for farmers along with necessary value chain linkages for the same Setup model dairy farm and establishing necessary value chain linkages for the same. Conduct quality documentation of project activities, outcomes and learnings through case studies, periodic progress reports, etc. Manage and support the ground level team to deliver project activities on the ground Conduct regular review and planning meetings with ground level team to review the progress on activities and outcomes Visit farmers on periodic and sample basis across all clusters to assess and monitor the performance of team Liasioning with various local stakeholders (PRI members, government officials, private vendors) for implementation of the program Ensure the spending as per project budget Any other task as assigned by Project Lead Mandatory Qualification and Experience: a. A minimum of 6 years of working experience in promoting agriculture and animal husbandry-based farm livelihoods Demonstrate knowledge in areas related to regenerative agriculture, climate resilient agriculture, sustainable agriculture practices, soil test, crop assessment, dairy farming, farmers collectives, etc. Some experience of dealing with various private and government stakeholders working towards promotion of farm livelihoods Ability to demonstrate ownership, and work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment as part of a closely-knit team (showcasing patience, tenacity, and grace under pressure) Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (English and Telugu) Post-Graduate degree from any recognized university in Agriculture or Allied Fields (Horticulture / Forestry / Agriculture / Social Work)
