We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. In this role, you will: Project Management Support

  • Ensure Clarity status reports are updated on time for the bi-weekly and monthly status reporting timelines
  • Ensure level 1, 2 and 3 milestones are up to date in line with reporting timeline in Clarity
  • Support and preparation of the Supervisory Working Group meetings
  • Sprint Retro - ensure that the lessons learned during the Sprints per POD are shared and updated in Lesson Learnt Register
  • Sprint Planning - working with the Scrum Master / Delivery Lead, to ensure that POD are prepared in advance of their next Sprint planning
RAID Management
  • Ensure Risks & Issues are captured in Clarity correctly, completely and up to date
  • Working with the Project Manager, ensure Dependencies are captured in Clarity, up to date and necessary buy-in put in place
Financial Management
  • Monthly financial pack (covering CTB, RTB and MTB) to be created and setup meeting to run Management through them
  • Forecast is updated correctly and up to date in the Group Planning Data Model (GPDM). Will also ensure during the planning season, BP ID are setup and reflected accurately to target
  • Supporting the CAMs process
Resource Management
  • Team Timesheets are completed and approved by end of the working week
  • Pioneer alignment to the forecast and hiring profile
  • Coordination of hiring for the team. Ensure CTool and necessary admin tasks are completed
  • Organisation of Induction session for new joiners
  • Setup, measure and ensure improvements to the buddy system
  • Renewal of Contractors / Consultants in line with the Forecast from the Senior Delivery Lead
  • PODDY update - ensure this reflects correctly the Supervisory team org chart
  • Organise and support Programme Manager as required for Townhall
  • Ensure email distribution groups are up to date
Vendor Management
  • Renewal of Consultants / Contractor prior to end date
  • Ensure procurement process are followed for the purchase & renewal of software
  • Support team as required with hardware procurement process

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Experience
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment
  • Has previously undertaken core PMO support activities
  • Good understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes, and systems
  • Good knowledge and experience supporting large, global, functional IT/Change Programmes
  • Good knowledge of Programme and Project Management control methodologies and processes.
Technical Competence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Clarity and SharePoint.
  • HSBC Systems Clarity, GPDM, Pioneer, GMIS and SharePoint.
  • Good working knowledge of Confluence and Jira
Relationships
  • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with Supervision IT members, third party vendors, various internal teams (Business Management, Finance, Procurement) and business users
  • Willingness to own work and use initiative to resolve issues, whilst dealing with a diverse range of people
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain global team
