About the job Job title: Senior BI Analyst - Reporting & Analytics (Finance) CoE Job Level: Senior Individual Contributor Reports to: Solution Architect - Reporting & Analytics (Finance) CoE Role family: Finance Department: Finance Shared Services Location: Bangalore Purpose of the role The Senior BI Analyst will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that drive data-based decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in data visualization, and an in-depth understanding of business processes. The Senior BI Analyst will support our Solution Architects & business users in creating data driven insights and reports. They work closely with solution architect and comfortable supporting the analytics needs of multiple teams. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of solving complex problems, is driven to enable users to succeed, and can build effective stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities Responsible for building/developing, implementing, and supporting BI reporting solutions for our enterprise-wide group level management reporting. The right individual will possess experience in at least these stages of Power BI project work (requirement gathering, physical BI solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment) Closely work with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Subject matter experts to understand and develop the Power BI reports as per the requirement. Understand & recognize business requirements in the context of BI and create data models to transform raw data into relevant insights. Analyse data models and optimize data structures. Investigate and implement business intelligence for your entire organization. Collaborate with data management. Optimize performance of Power BI dashboards by redesigning data models and structures as needed under the guidance of Solution Architects. Suggest and bring Power BI design and development best practices within the organization. Keep up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and other BI trends. Evaluate new technologies and tools as potential solutions to business challenges. Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence. Designing POCs, prototypes in Power BI and presenting it to key business stakeholders and leaders to represent complex data in a clear and concise manner. Providing on-demand Power BI training to business users and bringing more business adoption towards Power BI reporting (showing Q&A functionality, Commenting functionality etc) and keeping away from excel reporting. Senior BI Analyst will report to Solution Architect within the R&A CoE, he will scope and supervise execution of all the projects & performance management for this role. Work as a good team player who would always willing to extend helping hand and in turn expect the entire team to support as well. Professional & Technical skills Essential: Demonstrates excellent knowledge in the development / administration of the following areas: Back-end data integration and architecture including dimensional data modelling, ETL development, BI performance tuning, creation of dataflows and using Microsoft power platform to automate the entire data extraction process, Power Query and M Language, Power BI incremental data loading using dataflows. Front-end reporting and analytics platforms including BI Report and Dashboard development, Power BI paginated reports, Integration of Power Apps with Power BI, Power BI usage reports at page and visual level Foundational knowledge of the following areas: Metadata management Master Data Management Data Dictionary Data Governance Data Analytics Experience in working with Agile project development methodology. Power BI certification - PL 300 Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst. Power BI certification - DP-500 Designing and Implementing Enterprise-Scale Analytics Solutions Using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power BI Experience with additional BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Alteryx Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS. Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R. Knowledge of integrating Q&A functionality in Power BI with Siri, Alexa or Google assistant. The Individual You are highly analytical with an ability to apply your problem-solving skills to solve complex reporting & analytics challenges. You are self-motivated and passionate about actively contributing to our R&A CoE objectives. With your reporting know-how you should easily perform due diligence on R&A problems and quickly grasp the key process issues and data challenges. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Information Systems Overall Experience 6+ years 4+ years of experience with Power BI development, data modelling (Expert BI Analyst, PL300) 2+ years in Power BI Paginated Reports, Power Apps integration with Power BI (Expert Power BI Developer) 2 years inPower BI Dataflows, Power Automate, DAX, M-Query (Expert Data Modeler) Proven experience as a Power BI Analyst or in a similar roll Knowledge of these ERP Data - JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP Experience in working for a BI consultancy or Big 4 Reporting & Analytics consulting. Understanding of Finance & Accounting data / FP&A Data / Management Reporting data in a large multinational organization is a great plus. Project Management certification like PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP would be a great plus. Experience in building predictive analytics use cases around finance and accounting information/data. Additional Information Working hours: 12pm - 9.30pm (India Standard Time) Transportation, Food & Shift allowance will be provided. Work Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore.
