Job Purpose

Business Insights team is focused on unlocking the value of data as it exists within Akzonobel operations / systems. We\'re an eclectic team of data-oriented doers who love to take on new challenges, are always learning, and looking for ways to improve decision-making.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior BI Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and leading the execution of the analytics solutions to improve performance and achieve the Supply Chain of the future vision. Senior BI Analyst reports into the Analytics Manager of GBS - Business Insights team

You will be partnering with Supply Chain COE teams, business teams to understand the supply chain needs, collaborate with the IT organization to build data driven - Analytics solutions. You will also be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive & prescriptive analytics for entire Supply Chain.

Key Accountabilities

Business partnering: with all the Supply Chain COE team leaders (Customer ops, Logistics, S&OE, Inventory, Supply Planning) to determine opportunities / requirements for Data analytics solutions that can drive revenue growth, operational efficiencies, and customer value

Solution design & development:

Develop new solution using BI Tools (Power BI, Spotfire, SAP analytics Cloud)

• Build wireframes, proof-of-concepts
• Fetch and embed data from SAP HANA, BW, Azure SQL, Excel, flat files, Sharepoint list etc.
• Perform data transformation, engineering, [joint, exclusion, enrichment, pivoting, etc.] using SQL, Databricks Pyspark,

Improve and maintain existing solutions:

• Suggest technical improvements / automation ideas for existing Analytics solutions
• Test and ensure compatibility of existing solutions upon new software version release
• Improve and safeguard dashboards performance (latency, downtime)

Experience

Academic and professional background:

• Bachelors or master\'s degree in analytics, Business, or finance from a premier institute
• Minimum 6+ years work experience in Data analytics & visualization roles in a global or multinational environment
• 3+ years of experience with Supply Chain analytics

Skillset

• Highly skilled in data analysis and modeling, with the ability to work with large datasets and complex data structures.
• Exceptional in creating visualizations in PowerBI (+DAX) that effectively communicate complex data insights to non-technical audience.
• worked on Supply Chain analytics projects

• Understands - Transportation, Logistics, Warehouse function & its KPIs
• Worked on Deliveries, Shipment, Orders, Freight etc datasets
• Familiar with SAP ERP - Sales & Distribution module, Tcodes, SAP tables
