Inviting applications for the role of Senior Associate, Logistics / Supply Chain Finance!

In this role, The associate would be responsible for the cost management of finished goods delivery to warehouses. Principally this involves working closely with our haulage partners, ensuring that invoices are recorded and paid at the agreed price. The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills with previous experience of supply chain finance. Additional responsibilities include month-end accruals and ensuring that goods received reflect delivery notes.

Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Relationship management with haulage partners: Managing the relationship with haulage partners, managing lane rate charges together with exception handling

\xc2\xb7 Invoice processing: Ensure invoices are checked and processed, so all freight-related, storage-related and value added services are approved for payments.

\xc2\xb7 Month end close support and accruals: Ensure support for month end close related activities \xe2\x80\x93 booking of invoices, accruals postings, provision of status overviews etc.

\xc2\xb7 Raising of Purchase Orders: request and plan spend approval, and ensuring that vendors have received spend authority codes

\xc2\xb7 Ancillary delivery charge monitoring: managing demurrage, excess waiting times and non-standard charges that may be raised.

\xc2\xb7 SAP ERP: Using SAP to record accrual journals and P&L review

\xc2\xb7 Communication: Act as main point of communication between our haulage partners and business

\xc2\xb7 Reporting: Prepare and analyse key reports, maintaining accurate records of logistics costs to support the month end reporting process

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate issues in a succinct and logical manner. Strong listening skills.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and work with team when help is needed.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to generate innovative solutions to problems and effectively work with and communicate to key stakeholders.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor or Master Degree

\xc2\xb7 Experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in logistics finance or Transportation finance related positions

\xc2\xb7 Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

\xc2\xb7 Excellent analytical and execution skills

\xc2\xb7 Strong sense of customer service and analytic skills

\xc2\xb7 Self-starter, able to accomplish tasks independently, can-do attitude.

\xc2\xb7 Capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to learn new systems quickly and leverage systems and information to influence others

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

\xc2\xb7 End user knowledge in SAP MM & SD, SRM preferred

\xc2\xb7 Advanced excel knowledge preferred
