Department Description Client technology comprises of Fidelity\'s Institutional Business Units in the UK and other parts of Europe and is a strategic area targeted for growth over the coming years. The Technology Department has been acting as the key enablers for the business in achieving their goals. The DB portfolio of projects will include a large collection of strategic initiatives as well as tactical ones to support day-to-day operations and strengthen the environment. Purpose of the Role The position is for an experienced Oracle/Informatica developer within the Institutional Group. The role involves development of complex queries and stored procedures in Oracle and ETL mappings & workflows in Informatica Key Responsibilities Design, develop and test Oracle stored procedures, functions and packages Design, develop and test ETL mappings & workflows in Informatica Powercenter Design, develop and test SQL queries or stored procedures required for creating report data set. Document high and low level technical design specifications Plan and execute changes in different environments Work with cross-functional teams for any necessary project work Ability to identify root cause and provide solution for any issue in SIT and UAT and Prod (as third level support) Participate in all phases of SW development lifecycle Experience and Qualifications Required A minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL A minimum of 5 years of experience in Informatica Powercenter Knowledge of Unix Scripting will be preferable. Experience of Source Control tools like ClearCase Experience of Scheduling tools like Control-M Ability to work in both Windows and UNIX platforms Experience of working with multi-cultural teams in a geographically diverse environment Essential Skills Ability to understand technical requirements and convert those into design specifications Excellent command over writing complex and optimized SQL statements Excellent knowledge of writing Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions and packages Good knowledge of Oracle database objects, esp. tables, views, indexes, constraints and partitions Experience on creating mappings and workflows to load various types of tables using Informatica Powercenter. Good experience with various Powercenter transformations Personal Characteristics Proficient written and verbal communication skills Flexible and positive attitude, openness to change Willingness to work in different time-zones as required Self-motivation is essential, should demonstrate commitment to high quality design and development.
