ABOUT THE ROLE

Global Business Services houses various services like analytics , marketing , regulatory filing and so on, which supports AstraZeneca Group to meet its objectives. As the successful role holder you will support the finance function to ensure strategic and operational goals of the business are delivered. You will drive business recharge processes and performance management including business insights. Your aim will be to deliver and implement recharge rates across the Region and support our Finance Vision. You will enjoy working globally with all senior levels of our organisation including the Chief Financial Officers and you will be able to influence and negotiate, using your strong communication skills. You should have an ability to think strategically, managing senior collaborators and articulating the pricing model. Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Lead the pricing processes for GBS: partner to deliver and own end to end periodic recharges, including P&L management and deliverables to senior collaborators
• Liaise and manage pricing model, oversee month end recharges and quarterly governance.
• Liaise with FP&A stakeholders across Region & Markets to drive a well-defined, consistent & recharge process.
• Be curious and lead performance metrics for GBS teams.
• Understand key assumptions underpinning recharges and be able to reconcile the positions
• Driving budget management for GBS teams.
• Submit monthly management reports and Board Reports with analyses and commentaries within agreed timelines.
• Preparation of Monthly MISs / important metrics / Dashboards / Other Finance deliverables to be shared with Leadership Team, global business and finance stakeholders.
• Preparation of various flash and exceptional reports. Bring highlight / lowlights to the attention.
• Develop financial models.
• Continuous Improvement mindset: Identify & drive improvements to ways of working to ensure future sustainability & accuracy.
• Constantly share standard methodology & takeaways.

Essential skills and experience

• Qualified finance professional - CIMA, ACA, ACCA,MBA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 5-8 Years of relevant experience
• Experience of both planning & reporting activities
• Flexible and can do attitude
• Strong analytical ability with excellent focus on detail
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team focused environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead a process with minimal or no supervision
• Ability to influence others without authority
• Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities

Desirable skills and experience

• Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team & liaising with senior managers
• Experience of working in a global organisation
• Experience of partnering with business functions outside of finance
