SCM Engineer

You will be working as SCM Engineer and will be part of Electrification business for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Procurement Manager and will be responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of procurement practice approved activities. Executing assigned activities based on the standard procedures.

Your responsibilities

• Designing and implementing plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets
• Applying and implementing PL standards, tools, and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Executing and implementing new directions within the area of responsibility
• Applying standards on health, safety, environment and business ethics within operational work, contract management and negotiations
• Delivering and participating in training programs as required for compliance and professional development
• Executing effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers

Your background

• BE Mechanical / Electrical with relevant experience
• 3-5-year experience in relevant Sourcing field and company
• Sourcing experience of large value products / services in product / projects business
• To be able to negotiate high value purchase like Transformer, Electrical systems with Indian / Global suppliers
• To understand manufacturing processes like Sheet metal Fabrication, Surface painting , powder coating process , plating , galvanizing
• To have knowledge about Electrical Fundamentals and about Distribution Transformers / CT/PT, Should be able read and understand basic Electrical schematics and related documents
