Sales Support Specialist

This is a Sales Support Specialist role, reporting to the Sales Support Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible to create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and high margin for the Company. Maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.

Your responsibilities

• Preparing of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit and Sales organization directives
• Being the single interface towards customer / local divisions and ensuring time and proactive communication
• Bidding during the whole sales phase, from lead until signing the contract
• Setting up and collaborating with ABB group functions, such as Legal, Finance, Taxes and Insurance
• Using experience and understanding to add to the Bid plans and decision making along as the tendering process evolves
• Coordinating with procurement team and maintaining support from internal and third- party suppliers
• Analyzing project proposals, costing plans and preparing for risk review
• Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicating to sales organization

Your background

• BE /B Tech (Electronics / Electronics & Communication /Instrumentation) is required
• Minimum 5 year's experience from the energy industries
• Experience from engineering and project execution is an advantage
• Some automation market knowledge will be good
• Knowledge about market requirements and standards within the industry is positive
• Experienced candidates will be considered even if the formal education is not according to the requirement above
