Sourcing new sales opportunities through cold calls, network, and referral
Identifying key customers and generating interest
Responsible for price and service negotiation with customers
Understanding of rate management process, and reading carrier rate sheets
Effectively maintain the relationship with existing customers
Achieve sales goals and meet key performance indicators set by the company.
Follows company policies and procedures.
Update the booking confirmation on the company\xe2\x80\x99s systems worksheets
Work closely with shippers, vendors, and suppliers and complete errors on incomplete or inconsistent documentation
Perform data entry on bills of lading and invoices and transmit to appropriate parties.
Send pre-alert documents to customers, shippers, consignees, and suppliers to keep them updated on statuses
Schedule pickup of cargo and arrange bookings with ocean carriers and co-loaders/truckers.
