Robotics Automation Business Analyst Reports to: Associate Director, Process Automation Role Summary: Building out process automation capabilities, and expanding a US-based team to identify, configure, deploy and support bots and other solutions that can automate manual tasks, improve the client experience and allow our employees to focus on higher-value activities. The BA is responsible for identifying and exploiting opportunities to improve efficiency and the employee and client experiences by deploying process automation projects across the US business. The BA will work in a client-centric environment that ensures excellent service delivery for all our internal stakeholders. This role will be responsible for gathering and defining business needs, creating detailed business requirements, developing and executing user test plans, and providing end-user documentation and training. This role will also be responsible for partnering closely with the Robotics Solution Designer and development team to ensure projects meet user needs and deliver the expected business outcomes. Main Accountabilities: Work closely with project sponsors, subject matter experts and team members to evaluate new process improvement and digitization opportunities Facilitate workshops, conduct interviews and job shadowing sessions to gather and document business requirements with business partners Manage individual project timelines and coordinate UAT testing with the operation teams. Create and execute test plans to ensure our solutions meet business requirements Develop solution documentation that supports user training needs and helps facilitate deployment and adoption You will play a key role in process improvement reviews to identify opportunities where automation can drive benefits and efficiencies for the business. Partner closely with the Robotics Solution Designer and development team to ensure projects meet user needs and deliver the expected business outcomes Working with the rest of the delivery group and business SMEs you will break down and analyse existing business processes in detail to assess feasibility and to redesign those processes for an RPA/NLP supported solution. Experience in creating a solution for automation of complex business processes that require OCR, RPA or chatbot capabilities to achieve a high degree of automation within the process. Desired Skills and Experience Competencies: Ability to thrive as part of an innovative and agile team, and willingness to take on new responsibilities as needed to support the program Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong organizational, interpersonal, and planning skills Ability to analyze current-state business processes and propose alternatives that will add significant value Ability to develop requirements documents efficiently and effectively, test plans and training support materials that business partners and end users can readily understand Ability to communicate at different levels and translate between business and technical stakeholders Strong problem-solving skills The ability to work effectively as part of an agile solutions consulting and delivery team Ability to communicate user needs and requirements effectively with robotics technical resources to ensure successful project outcomes Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with leaders from different business areas Education and Experience: Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent experience At least 3 years of progressive experience as a RPA Business Analyst. An in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle, as well as working as part of an agile team Experience working as part of a robotics solutions delivery team using Pega Robotics, UiPath/ Blue Prism or other larger vendor robotics automation vendor software platforms is preferred Proficiency in Visio & process mapping Relevant experience/awareness in Python, Chatbots, OCR, ML and AI techniques Lean six sigma Green Belt certification preferred Proficiency in Visio & process mapping preferred Periodic travel may be required Some project work may be required outside of regular office hours to support critical timelines and deliverables, as well as collaboration with Sun Life teams in other regions
