Role: Research Associate Location: Mohali (Hybrid/In-Office) No of Openings: 1 Faculty Name: Professor Ahmed Timoumi Academic Area: Marketing Area Research Summary of the Faculty: Professor Ahmed Timoumi: Ahmed Timoumi is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Indian School of Business. His research and teaching interests include Retailing, Channel Management, Product Returns, and Sales Force management. He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from Koc University and was a visiting scholar at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. His current research focus is on Omnichannel retailing and he co-manages the Omnichannel Retailing and E-commerce initiative (OREI) at ISB. This initiative provides a platform for practitioners and scholars to solve real problems faced by retailers in India, workshops and training for retailers, and research opportunities for scholars. Professor Timoumi received a degree in Mathematics and Physics from Institut Pr paratoire Aux Etudes d\'Ing nieurs de Tunis, and a degree in Engineering with a focus in Economics and Management from Ecole Polytechnique de Tunisie. Roles & Responsibilities: You will: Assistance to the faculty - Assisting in their ongoing research work which includes the development of analytical models, solution algorithms, and designing of computational experiments. Data compilation - Scraping data from websites or documents and compilation into usable formats for analysis. Database management - Linking different datasets, ensuring data quality, and processing raw data into processed datasets for modeling and estimation. Analysis of data - Using cross-sectional and panel econometric methods, literature review, and assisting in paper writing. Conduct market and economic analysis and prepare reports to harvest data and generate presentable insights from the data. Required Skills and Qualifications: Qualifications: A Graduate from a top program with a high CGPA. Evidence of academic excellence. Master\'s level degree (IISc, ISI, DSE, or comparable institutions in India and abroad) with a good academic record in economics, mathematics, statistics, or computer science. Other quantitative fields may also apply. Skills: Excellent analytical and programming skills in Python, R , and SQL. The candidate must also have great communication skills and written skills. Motivation to learn and a strong work ethic. Excellent problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
