A Research Analyst / Senior Research Analyst is responsible for executing research of a designated sector / geography for a leading sell-side research firm \xef\x82\xb7 Build and update company and industry models \xef\x82\xb7 Create and maintain databases using data from different sources \xef\x82\xb7 Work on regular research publications \xe2\x80\x93 earnings previews, reviews, event updates, flash notes etc. \xef\x82\xb7 Contribute meaningful research ideas for thematic publications \xef\x82\xb7 Carry out sector analysis and come up with investment themes /ideas \xef\x82\xb7 Keep a track of latest developments in the companies under coverage and the sector and incorporate these into the research publications etc. \xef\x82\xb7 Conduct independent company-specific, economic, or trend analysis \xef\x82\xb7 Publish written articles and research reports that summarize analysis & findings \xef\x82\xb7 Develop and publish own industry forecasts, subject to review by senior team member \xef\x82\xb7 Write and publish analytical articles with minimal supervision, and requiring little editing or input from senior team members \xef\x82\xb7 Respond to client inquiries with respect to designated coverage areas \xef\x82\xb7 Deepen research skills to prepare investment thesis and generated differentiated research ideas \xef\x82\xb7 Get an opportunity to travel onsite and work closely with the onshore team and understand/experience the investment decision making process What we expect from you? \xef\x82\xb7 Good understanding of finance / financial markets / accounting \xef\x82\xb7 Strong analytical and problem solving skills \xef\x82\xb7 Ability to articulate well to the clients over phone and email \xef\x82\xb7 High level of attention to detail and accuracy; Diligence and hard work \xef\x82\xb7 Excellent MS Excel skills (including advanced excel) \xef\x82\xb7 Willingness to stretch and be proactive \xef\x82\xb7 Should be a strong team player What we are looking for? \xef\x82\xb7 MBA (Finance) or Chartered Accountant with one to five years of prior experience \xef\x82\xb7 Pursuing or cleared the CFA certification \xef\x82\xb7 Prior experience in Equity Research is preferred but not mandatory Company Profile:
