R&D Senior Engineer

You will be working as R&D Senior Engineer, reporting to R&D Team Lead for Electrification Business Area, Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, you will be responsible for contributing with own ideas to identify, propose, implement innovative technology development and solutions by solving industrial problems independently

Your responsibilities

• Preparing of mechanical design concept and full CAD 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Designing of sheet metal parts, casted and machined metal parts, molded plastic parts and metal forming and manufacturing process knowledge and optimization.
• Designing reviewing close communication with other TC Project Managers and technical experts of Air insulated switchgear design and development.
• Contributing to the development of strategic technology plans and project portfolio in own organization.
• Coordinating with Cross-functional team members to enhance operation excellence, cost optimization, new feature addition, alternate vendor development, etc.
• Serving as a subject matter expert to the project, providing guidance to colleagues and more junior team members, acting as a mentor, and sharing lessons learned.
• Overviewing of IP in own specialist area and develops project IP strategies.
• Identifying and managing risks in research and development (R&D) projects as well as in own organization.

Your background

• B.E/M.E/M. Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in design and development of Medium Voltage Indoor AIS Switchgear is preferred.
• Excellent competence with CAD (Pro-E, Solidworks etc.), technical drawings and PLM systems is required.
• Knowledge of PLM software like SmarTeam/Windchill is preferred.
• Excellent English language skills, written and spoken
