R&D Engineer(Senior Software Engineer)

You will be working as R&D Engineer, reporting to R&D Team Lead for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area, BA Function Technology Division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible to work on device integration and IoT Platform to cater value-added services for different business units.

Your responsibilities

• Communicating ideas, concepts to team and creating an environment that inspires constant innovation in product and processes
• Working as reliable contributor in R&D projects, performing assigned tasks under supervision
• Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software) solidly, allowing others to maintain and improve them
• Participating constructively in working teams to ensure achievement of common targets
• Supporting the achievement of assigned targets, (quality, time, scope, cost) raising and addressing risks
• Understanding of the importance of IP in industry and the advantages of ABB-specific patents to own area of work

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics / Computer Science
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in working on large software systems
• Good knowledge on Agile/SAFE ways of developing software will be a plus
• Fluent spoken and written English
