You will be working as R&D Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for identifying, proposing and implementing innovative technology, software or solutions by contributing with own ideas. Working independently as a member of an R&D team. Your responsibilities Responsible for the whole software development life cycle (SDLC) of working software requirements engineering, designing, implementing and including final system testing and maintenance Maintaining existing software and test infrastructure, developing software components and interfaces to embedded systems and existing IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) components within ABB Automating system and integration tests, handling software configuration management and build processes Ensuring compliance with international standards and contributing in different phases of software development ranging from feasibility studies and simulations to implementation and testing Identifying improvement potential and using creative approaches to exploit them (e.g. IoT solutions, AI/ML for data analysis and monitoring) Specifying, designing, implementing and executing tests of the software functions and collaborating well with R&D teams to deliver the product releases on time, with good quality Aligning with assigned targets (time, cost, quality), completing project deliverables and demonstrating sound understanding and usages of R&D processes and tools Your background B.E / B. Tech / M.E / M. Tech in Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics and communication or Electronics and Instrumentation Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in C#, .Net 5 .0, WPF, SQL and design of software applications Proven track record in software architecture and programming for industrial applications software using microsoft technologies (C# or WPF or ASP.NET or .NET Core) Having high level proficiency in object orientated design & programming with good knowledge of industrial dthernet communication (HTTPS, secure SOAP,REST API, OPC UA, SFTP) Possessing fair knowledge in cyber security, SQL Server, SQL Lite with experience working in an agile development team and with azure devops environment Experience with power electronics applications would be an advantage along with good analytical and problem solving skills More about us ABB Energy Industries is enabling safe, smart and sustainable projects and operations for businesses across the oil, gas, chemicals, life sciences, power generation and water sectors.
