The Building Construction Products team at Caterpillar designs, manufactures, markets and supports Caterpillar\'s line of small, versatile construction machines and attachments for the commercial construction, residential construction, specialty trades, landscaping and agriculture industries. Specifically, in Thiruvallur Tamil Nadu, we manufacture (SWL) and support logistics and finishing for and used for a variety of purposes across the industries we serve.

Specifically, you can expect to:

• Analyse Quality issues related to BIQ / ADQ and take corrective actions
• Sound knowledge on paint process, paint material ,preparation for paint process.
• Support Shift operations, day-to-day process quality issues and develop solutions.
• Prepare and Maintain Paint value stream Quality documents like SWS/SWES/SFMEA etc.
• Knowledgeable in paint Quality lab inspection process like Ph, Concentration checks, coating weight, painting viscosity, sedimentation test.
• Sound knowledge on Paint inspection equipment\'s like DFT meter, Gloss meter
• Knowledge in Paint equipment\'s calibration process.
• Respond to customer issues and lead process improvements.
• Conduct Paint CAV core process audit, achieve the facility target.
• Knowledge on QMS, EHS certification requirements is desirable.
• Good team management & execution of task.

To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic Qualifications):

• 8 year minimum of technical schooling, an apprenticeship program, an Associate\'s degree or Full time degree in B.E/B. Tech chemical or B.Sc. chemistry from a reputed college or university.
• 8 -10 years of Relevant work experience in a Quality team in painting facility of Automobile manufacturing discipline
• Thorough knowledge of relevant engineering, manufacturing standards and practices
• Strong analytical skills
• Good interpersonal, communications, teamwork, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work with diverse teams of employees and customers
• Personal computer skills and the ability to use standard software tools
• Good written and oral communications skills

Top candidates will also bring:

• Experience using Power BI
• Prior experience working in a Paint shop in Automobile or equivalent manufacturing environment and/or in the quality field.
• Knowledge on QMS, EHS certification requirements is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
