:

The Data Quality Analyst will support the CCB Chief Data Office Data Quality Team:

  • Data Quality Platform Modernization - support transition of legacy Data Quality tools and processs to target state platform in the cloud environment.
  • Rule writing - create and maintain data quality rules using the CCB Data Quality Rules platform and Data Quality Suite of applications. Responsibilities will also include peer reviews of rules written by other rule writers, migration of rules from testing to production environments, supporting the rule writing platform, troubleshooting rules and platform issues and enforcing best practices for rule writing and data quality monitoring.
  • DQ Rule Monitoring - responsible for reviewing DQ rules in production for failures. Documenting failures in the CCB system of record and manage the Rule Monitoring JIRA process, start to end. Gatekeeper for all rule failure issues in CDQ and first assignee for all newly submitted rule failures.
  • DQ Issue Closures - Responsible for processing DQ issue closures in DQM, which includes reviewing the DQ Issue closure request form, verifying that appropriate approvals were received and documented, comparing the issue Summary template to data in DQM and closing out the DQ issue in the DQM tool

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (in order of importance)
  • Assure the integrity of data, including data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and reporting
  • Extract and analyze data from Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, and SQL databases
  • Create/optimize Data quality reports to run through rules engine across all lines of business
  • Work with business functional area counterparts to develop interactive data quality reporting and business rules using business intelligence software
  • Partner with business owners to implement new data sources and ensure consistent definitions in reporting and analytics
  • Collaborate with team members, both to build out specific projects and to continuously teach and learn new technology and techniques
  • Communicate project status and results in a manner that is clear and concise to teammates
Knowledge and Experience
  • 5+ years expertise in SQL query optimization and an understanding of leveraging Functions, Procedures and Triggers
  • 3+ years of Business Analyst and/or Data Mining work experience required
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments
  • Aptitude for learning new theory and new technology
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, to include experience writing business requirements and functional specifications
  • College Degree, Specialized Training, or Equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience working in Oracle SQL Developer, Teradata SQL Assistant, Teradata Studio Express or Toad Datapoint a plus
  • Experience working with Native Object Stores a plus
