The opportunity

As a Functional Tester, you will be accountable & responsible to prepare test plan, test scenario, test scripts based on the project requirements. Execute functional and regression test cases. Report the defects in tracking tool and ensure its closure through STLC process. Involve in review meetings and walk through meetings. Candidate should have knowledge on Investment Banking/Capital Markets. Added advantage to have knowledge on Finance Domain knowledge.

Skills and attributes for success

• Deft knowledge in Agile / Waterfall methodology
• Responsible for writing and executing the Test Cases for Functional Testing.
• Maintaining the Bug Reports and delivery Note details.
• Involved in Peer-Review of the test cases, Sanity Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing and User Acceptances Testing.
• Involved in review meetings and walk through meetings.
• Attend status calls as needed to report on testing progress

To qualify for the role, you must have

• BE/BTech/MCA/M.Sc.
• 3 -7 years of UAT/Business/Functional testing experience in Banking/Investment Banking/Capital Markets/Finance domain.
• Develops and executes user acceptance test plans, cases, and specifications (scripts) for contractual requirements, business intent, user expectations, end to end tests, defect fixes and regression tests
• Should act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Agile process and communicates project requirements, uploads documentation, and reports bugs through JIRA.
• Creates and manages user testing plans and follows up with requirements as necessary to ensure scheduled delivery time of the product. Enforces and redefines as needed.
• Prioritizes the assigned testing list to maintain a high level of efficiency and effectiveness.
• Reviews change parameters to define end user impact and the desired user experience.
• Works with Business Impact Partners and Training team to implement technical or non-technical solutions
• Partners with Business Initiative Partners and/or Product Owners to define business and operations requirements and systems goals.
• Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.
• Communicates with business users and development teams on project requests.
• Review's data regarding production issues and requests to uncover defects and revises testing strategies as needed.
