Job Title Project Manager- LCM



In this role, you have the opportunity to design, develop and maintain Diagnostic Imaging components and products (CT, MR, Diagnostics X-ray). You are responsible for identifying appropriate designs for overall system, sub-system and component levels. You will participate and execute technical projects in mechatronic, or mechanical domains from Reliability and Value Engineering for Service parts as per global regulatory requirements and release in our document library in accordance with Quality management system.

You are responsible for

  • Coordinating and performing the Engineering Activities in the design improvement, Low level FRU Creation, and implementation aspects
  • Connecting and aligning with the Lead Designer/ Senior Architect on technical, quality and costs aspects
  • Connecting and aligning with the Program Manager on project content, timeline and costs aspects
  • Identifying and analyzing parts for service productivity, setting up review, program plan and engineering execution for customer focus , Set up Service parts, perform Service feasibility, Service validation from easy to maintain, easy to use, easy to replace, extendible (components and modules) and re-usable
  • Ensuring that the design is consistent with the higher level architecture and requirement and would have the safety, reliability and quality features built-in
  • Ensuring that the design meets the performance, quality and cost criteria
  • Conducting Concept & Feasibility studies. Leads the introduction of new technologies
  • Conducting technical reviews and ensures that there is proper documentation per standards for the developed design
  • Ensuring the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification
  • Ensuring that the design modules meet the product certification requirements
  • Participating in standards identification responsible for designing
  • Networking with colleagues within BU and beyond and maintains external contacts for benchmarking, new technologies, tooling, design methods, and reflects them to the HW-group
  • Contributing to technology roadmaps and other strategic related activities
  • Drawing up personal schedule and reports on progress
  • Defining and assessing the Work Breakdown Structure/ planning/ costs of their own area
  • Keeping abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts
  • Maintaining product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • M.Tech /B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering with 14+ years of relevant experience in design & development of system/subsystem/components (Experience in Medical Device developments is a plus).
  • Extensive experience in one or more in the areas of \xe2\x80\x93 Design for Reliability, Value Engineering from Design and Development aspect, Life Cycle and Sustenance Engineering activities for Service productivity and part reliability to enhance customer experience
  • Knowledge of structural design, CAD (Creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings), FEM analysis
  • Good at hand calculation of the design
  • Create DFMEA and identify relevant product risks
  • Identifying the suitable material, Creating EBOM, DFM/DFA
  • Experience in latest engineering design and methods, tools, and processes
  • Experience with standard development tools: Pro/Engineer, Agile, Clearquest, Windchill or equivalent
  • Create functional requirement documentation
  • Knowledge of IEC 60601 standards is preferred
  • Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently
  • System thinking mindset and domain expertise in the related area
  • Ability to present ideas and to convince project team members
  • Be structured and self-organized
