Project ManagerAre you passionate about Project management?Do you have experience in Book Production?About the TeamWe are looking for a results-driven project manager to join the health sciences books. The successful candidate will support Elsevier\xe2\x80\x99s Book production team, reporting to the Publishing Services Manager.About the RoleThe HS Books team in Elsevier is responsible for publishing books of wide genres. We make sure the publication of the books is smooth and make it hassle free for the stakeholders. The Project managers oversee schedules and maneuver the book through the lifecycle, making sure that the quality and budget are appropriate and in control.ResponsibilitiesMaintain Effective Communication and keep publishing Service manager informed about the status.Ensure all files are posted to the correct location drives.Books to be produced in a timely and appropriate manner.Oversee project management for books produced by outside suppliers.Liaise with publishers and authors to resolve any queries arising.Ensure artwork is supplied and accurately sourced on artwork source list and that it is of suitable quality.Edit prelim material to incorporate correct Elsevier branding and ensure branding is correct before going to press.Displays High Integrity and HonestyBuild commitment in others for their individual and team objectives.Handles difficult situations, minimizing conflict.RequirementsRequires a college or university degree with a minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in book project management.Fluent in spoken and written English.Strong communication, and interpersonal skills to forge partnerships (both internally and externally).Works effectively across different teams and functions with a collaborative mindset.Basic IT awareness and skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc).Project management skills.Work in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
