Project Manager

You will be working as Project Manager and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based out at Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Project Manager. You will be primarily responsible for leading the execution of medium size projects and ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with relevant cyber security regulations and standards, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.

Your responsibilities

• Leading the project team, and establishing the project execution approach, oversees project hand-over, execution planning and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources in order to accomplish all project goals
• Providing performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects. Planning and tracking all project activities, establishing, scheduling risks and opportunities in order to deliver projects on time according to commitments to the customer and ABB
• Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies and effectively monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization
• Monitoring and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow. Capturing, analyzing and sharing lessons learned throughout the project and drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and acknowledgement by the customer, all in accordance with the contract
• Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements
• Coordinating with supply chain management and successfully procures required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers. Supporting procurement and logistics in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes
• Acting as a key contact for the customer and as an escalation point for project issues. Building and maintaining strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicating with all stakeholders

Your background

• B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation engineering from a reputed university
• Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in end to end project management from an automation industry background
• Domain knowledge of energy industries or automation industries
• Handling large scale electrical, instrumentation, automation and/or telecommunication projects
• Required knowledge of project planning tool like Primavera / MS Project
• Knowledge of SAP PS module
