Project Manager

What this job involves:
Providing a roadmap for success
Working with a team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll set the vision for every project and enforce a process that helps everyone get to the finish line. This entails exploring stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 needs through conducting meetings with relevant parties (clients, consultants, contractors, agencies), as well as doing the necessary follow-through research and analysis. Afterward, you\xe2\x80\x99ll get down to the project\xe2\x80\x99s nitty gritty\xe2\x80\x94such as the corresponding contract, cost, schedule, and health and safety requirements. And then you\xe2\x80\x99ll proceed to creating the execution plan that ensures delivery of outputs to the stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 expectations and meets our own commercial objectives.

While formulating strategies that will lead to the project\xe2\x80\x99s success, you\xe2\x80\x99ll also closely manage the team and keep track of the project\xe2\x80\x99s progress\xe2\x80\x94from concept design, design development, construction documents, as-build drawings, and handing over of documents. Likewise, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be expected to light the way during construction, and review all pending issues with the project team. You\xe2\x80\x99ll need to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders, leading from the front while also taking the time to understand their point of view.

Manning people and operations
You\xe2\x80\x99ll lead by example by showing your team that you\xe2\x80\x99re a confident and proactive leader. On a weekly basis, you\xe2\x80\x99ll sit down with clients, consultants, contractors and agencies to review the progress of a project. You\xe2\x80\x99ll also review project status reports during each operational phase, and hold a project control group meeting. Creating project monthly and weekly status reports as well as project risk register and HS reports is also on you. In the case of exceptions and remediations, you\xe2\x80\x99ll need to report them, as necessary. As needed, you\xe2\x80\x94together with the business development manager and other resources \xe2\x80\x94will also prepare proposals, case studies, presentations and lessons learned.

Well-versed in project management
You have a degree in architecture, civil engineering, or MEP engineering. If not, you have graduated with a degree in a related discipline, or have a mix of formal education and work experience of more than eight years. At least seven years of previous work experience is required.

A technical and admin pro
A structured and organised approach with an eye for detail is crucial. Are you technology savvy? As the digital leader in project management, we use a range of technology platforms to deliver our projects.

A good understanding of development management will also be indispensable to this role. Are you also familiar with the ins and outs of the government in terms of the architecture industry? How well can you interpret, coordinate and talk about construction drawings? If you can also manage designs, estimate costs effectively, and carry out commercial negotiations, market analyses and marketing processes, then you have a great chance of landing this job.

A steadfast leader with strong business know-how
Critical in this role is the ability to inspire your team members to walk with you whatever project comes your way. You are resilient and can deal effectively with competing priorities and tight deadlines.

Are you a big-picture-thinking and influential manager who knows how to overcome challenges quickly and calmly with advanced problem-solving skills? Driven and ambitious by nature, you should also have a mastery of the ins and outs of business\xe2\x80\x94from products and systems to processes, tools and best practices. You should also be an industry and local market insider with focus on real estate and construction.

An excellent communicator
We achieve our biggest success when working together, so clear communication is key, as is collaboration and team work. Having a strong command of language\xe2\x80\x94both English, Hindi & local language\xe2\x80\x94will help you succeed as a project manager, especially in convincing clients and maintaining good relationships with them, encouraging your people to do great work, and creating good dynamics with the entire project team. Making technical BOQ for Civil, Interior fit outs , BOQ validation for Minor Projects & Program managing Minor projects in its entirety across Pan India will be key responsibilities of the role.
