Specifically, offshore wind projects in the UK and Ireland region are being pursued with the goal of performing complete design-build (EPC) services to our customers. Position Summary We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the Bechtel Infrastructure team and provide leadership across all project teams during proposal and execution of offshore wind projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and coordination for all disciplines related to offshore wind projects including mooring systems, floating and fixed foundations and substation arrangement/design from early concept phase through handover to operations. The successful candidate shall have demonstrated ability leading a multi-discipline project team to meet project objectives and client directives and ability to plan and execute program management for “design-one-build many” projects. The candidate shall be familiar with advanced project delivery and stage gate processes and responsibilities of an EPC contractor and shall be experienced with and have mastered the skills to manage Offshore Wind projects including technical risk management, engineering interfaces, time and budget management per project schedule and scope. In this role the Project Manager regularly reports to senior management on progress, risks, technical issues, and mitigation actions, as well as tracking the delivery against key performance metrics and contractor productivity. Typical Responsibilities
Direct project management activities and their effective implementation to ensure the program’s goals and objectives are met.
Lead development and implementation of project management tools and processes across a region including delivery progress and performance reporting, risk management, cost analysis/control, and planning/scheduling activities
Provide innovative solutions to support the regional director with optimisation of progress reporting, cost engineering and planning/scheduling problems.
Manage complex organisational interactions that evolve from client-established relationships.
Partner with client to implement reform and help manage internal challenges
Design and implement customised solutions to enhance current practices on a functional level
Provide technical direction, development, training and mentoring to project team and client.
Influence others using advocacy, inquiry and dialogue, and lean on your existing client network.
Alignment of region to company strategy, managing the messaging
Enable the virtual team to deliver on time and to budget through robust, high quality project management process, covering risk mitigation, lessons learned and forecasting.
Collaborate with the national team to ensure a smooth and effective delivery of all projects against set milestones within regional portfolio.
Continuous development of project team resources and tools. Provide coaching and guidance to the team members covering every aspect of the project so the team members understand their tasks fully and execute them efficiently
Ensure best working practices are implemented throughout not only the region, but also nationally.
Conduct periodic stakeholder meetings consistent with the communication plan to promote and facilitate communication, review progress / performance. Discuss issues and facilitate problem resolution.
Accountable for maintaining end to end optimised project plans across the region with clearly defined critical path analysis resource loading and baselined deliverables.
Accountable for accurate monitoring reporting and escalating project costs throughout the lifecycle of the project maintaining an accurate forecast cost at completion at all times. This will take into account WIP, Risk estimation, all change variations and cost over runs where appropriate
Skills and Qualifications Required
Proven track record in delivering medium to large multi-site client projects with experience of managing capital budgets.
Excellent presentation skills and ability to present to senior management, clients and stakeholders
Ability to negotiate suitable outcomes that mitigate programme level risks.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
Good understanding of off-shore wind systems.
Commercial Awareness and previous experience in project accounting.
Experience of recognised project management methodology Project management qualifications e.g. Chartered Engineer, Bechtel Certification, Prince 2 Practitioner or APM
Strong leadership skills and ability to develop others whilst setting an example.
Strong values, behaviours and mindset with high focus on HSE, ethics, and transparency
Relevant experience including in a management/lead position
Experience of working in a major offshore project environment
Familiarity with equipment supply contracts
Experience of pro-actively coordinating interfaces with cross-functional teams and individuals at all levels
Ability to performance manage others (including. 3rd parties) in support of short and long term objectives
Experience of operating a risk management processes to identify safe and competitive solutions to problems
Fluent English written and spoken and language
Trained with an engineering degree in a relevant engineering discipline at Bachelors level or equivalent, plus ideally will be professionally qualified (Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, Project Management Professional or equivalent)

Ability to demonstrate experience and working knowledge of Construction Design and Management Regulations
Local industry knowledge and existing relationships
Renewables market experience
Wind industry experience (engineering, fabrication, transportation, installation, commissioning and handover)
Experience of HV and EHV transmission systems and associated offshore works
Knowledge of grid infrastructure and grid code
Experience of working in UK offshore wind sectors
