About the role

Role Title: Product Service Manager
Location: Hyderabad

Purpose of the role:
The Information Products and Data Sciences (IPDS) group in NX is driven to maximize the impact and value to NIBR of software and data. We deliver powerful, functional, beautiful, and integrated software solutions that create a frictionless user experience. Our organization is here to build and apply excellence in product and data management to further Novartis drug discovery.

Enable scientists to gain maximum value from the products delivered from IPDS Product Teams by providing services for the products centered around:
\xc2\xb7 Stable operations
\xc2\xb7 Transparent, consistent, and outstanding support
\xc2\xb7 Incident and Problem management
\xc2\xb7 Teaming, mentoring, and sharing knowledge

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver stable operations for one or more software products

  • Monitoring key performance metrics
  • Investigate and solve performance problems and recurring incidents
  • Train users on our products
  • Automate or design self-service tools for frequent user requests and incidents
  • Ensure that all licenses are in compliance
  • Keep products running on the appropriate, up to date operating system
  • Apply patches, roll out updates, and communicate with users about updates and outages
  • Ensure adherence to Novartis global Information Security and Quality standards and policies for all products/services
  • If applicable, ensure Regulatory Compliance (e.g. GLP & GCP) standards and policies for GxP products/services
Role Requirements

Essential Requirements:

Education & Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent

Experience
  • Experience with software support or software development
  • Proven experience as a team player
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in a drug discovery or scientific research setting preferred
  • At least 8+ years\' experience in software support or software development
  • 10+ years\' experience in IT or informatics
