To help develop, implement and supervise process and credit policies for the concerned division of the organization
  • Implement effective Process risk management for the concerned business verticals to identify potential risk in the underwritten portfolio and ensure portfolio health
  • Carry out background research and gain a thorough understanding of the project, the developer and the regional market, highlighting any negative reports so as to ensure the quality of the lending portfolio.
  • Manage Process risk assessment and analyze impact of market conditions and economic forecasts on risk concentration and portfolio diversification.
  • Formulate Product programs, carry out trainings, and hand hold the regional teams for effective implementation of the product norms.
  • Ensure that Process risk is identified, measured, monitored and controlled throughout the Digital & RCMB finance division of the organization.
  • Provide strategic corporate methodologies for account acquisition through various delivery channels and alliance partnerships to include credit standards, modeling, automation and process flow and tracking mechanisms
  • Help define specific Key risk indicators to evaluate risk trends, segment/product analysis and define actions to put in place the right risk mitigates
  • Liaise with Group risk and Central risk /Compliance teams to discuss new policies, modifications in existing norms, if required, for Mortgage and Construction Finance division.
  • Review the credit memo to assess the project viability and proposal structure as per internal risk parameters and customer requirements. Identify the nature and value of projects to be underwritten, as well as potential risks and delays that could affect the cash flow projections.
  • Impart training and learnings for effective control and adherence to program norms



Monitoring and tracking of covenants, health and product parameters. To ensure effective MIS reporting and highlighting \xe2\x80\x98early warning\xe2\x80\x99 signals to management
  • Preparation and presentation of various dashboards and key risk indicators and covenants, e.g.,
    • Board, BRC and RMC presentations
    • Monthly and quarterly portfolio monitoring report
    • Fortnightly publishing of DPDs
    • Monthly Newsletter
    • Overdue Analysis
    • Early Alert Review
    • Industry Insights
    • Analytical Insights like Limit/ Renewal Management, Covenant/ PDD Management
    • Concentration Trends in the Portfolio
  • Tracking of various accounts for early warning signals and taking corrective action by liaising cross functionally.
  • Track the overall progress of the client in line with the agreed T & C.
  • Ensure updated client wise MIS of Processes & collaterals during the entire credit life cycle for all lending products along with industry & business trend analysis.
  • Prepare technical notes and/or papers or conduct studies of interest to the organization on portfolio management, diversification and risk mitigation
  • Review and share with Management regular reports on the status of non-performing loans and suggest next steps with regard to pursuing legal cases.



To ensure policy compliance, internal credit checking processes and risk management
  • Formulate loan & credit processes for all lending functions in line with overall business vision and strategy
  • Provide feedback on proposed new product programs processes. Help evolve a set of acceptable program criteria, in terms of exposure caps, customer selection parameters, delinquency, exception reporting and other risk triggers.
  • Review credit procedures regularly and ensure their compliance with internal & external norms of lending.



To work towards automation and system development
  • Work along with the IT and Credit teams to automate some of the key functions, leading to better tracking, process control and removal of person specific dependency.
  • Develop a world class collateral management and approved builder funding module.
  • Raising red flags for non-conformance to stipulations and escalation mechanisms through system rather than manually.
  • Help conduct stress tests to record the impact of down grade and the consequent value at risk based on the ratings of the exposures.



To develop strong credit recovery mechanisms for default loans recovery and avoidance
  • Work with line management and business heads to assess risks associated with new or enhanced products and processes and enhance ability to identify measure and monitor credit risk on an ongoing basis.
  • Set up processes, reviews and monitoring policies for indicating early warning signals on credit quality and defaults.
  • Engage with various external legal resources and agencies for instituting credit recovery mechanism
  • Engage with internal and external auditors and regulators regarding credit risk-related matters



To develop a strong team and ensure their continuous development
  • Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices
  • Ensure regular functional & behavioral trainings of team members so that they stay current with market standards
  • Develop subordinates & formulate plans for their succession planning and identify and promote fast trackers in the system
