The Product Owner contributes to the effectiveness of Owner by combining their expertise on procedures and concepts of their own operational responsibilities with an understanding of how those responsibilities integrate with the broader goals of the business unit and company. Responsibilities include leading limited scope systems projects to support product or regulatory needs, developing business intelligence reports and user testing efforts and consistently meeting project deadlines while completing thorough documentation and information sharing throughout. Duties include translating complex business requirements into technical design and ensures regulatory authority and user architecture needs are followed while acting as a liaison between business operations, support departments such as Finance, Compliance and Security, and developers. Develops and maintains reports, dashboards, and scorecards to track key performance metrics from multiple data sources. As a PO to decompose the feature/EPIC and elaborate the user stories and the acceptance criteria. You need to update the product backlog status (preferably one or two sprints of backlog) in a Product Owner Huddle Board before the start of the meeting.
You should be able to raise an impediment which is impacting the product backlog status in the PO huddle meeting to that the action owner can be identified and the risk mitigation analysis has been done well in advance. As a PO you need to arrange a placeholder for the user stories grooming/refinement ceremony for the scrum team in a frequency of once/twice in a sprint.
Arrange a placeholder mid-sprint demo ceremony for the scrum team in a frequency of once/twice in a sprint to avoid the carry forward of user stories in the next sprint.
Get involved in the PDL’s in the user stories grooming session to have requirement clarification from the PDL (Product Delivery Lead) side if any.
