Job Description

The Product Owner will work with a team of 11 developers and 3 QA focused on backend services in support of Ebook Central, Clarivate's Ebook platform. The Product Owner will match and prioritize the features and functionality of the product to obtain maximum performance to the benefit of the end user. As a member of the Product Team, the Product Owner is responsible for the prioritized list of requirements for future product development, writing user stories and making critical decisions on priorities to drive product value.

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our Books Team in Bangalore. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Ebook Central, Clarivate's Ebook platform. The team consists of 4 Product Owners and reports to the Director of Product Management.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

At least 2 years working in an Agile or Scrum development environment, especially in the Product Owner or Manager role.

Bachelor's degree or at least 4 years of equivalent relevant experience.

Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as JIRA and Salesforce.

Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making.

High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability.

It would be great if you also had ..

Project Management or Business Analyst certification

Knowledge of or experience working in Academic Library marketplace, higher education publishing, and/or education technology.

What will you be doing in this role?

Works with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement, led by product manager

Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.

Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.

Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders, led by product management

Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment.

About the Team

A dynamic and creative team of product managers, product owners and analysts in the Books business unit serving academic libraries worldwide. We help connect researchers with most relevant content! This team of 20 focuses on ebooks, commercials and integrations. Internal stakeholders include engineering, marketing, sales, operations, customer support, finance and legal.

Hours of Work

11AM-7PM India Standard Time.

This is a full-time, permanent position.
