DESCRIPTION Job summary Do you love building and solving problems to make the world a better place Through Amazon Future Engineer (AFE) program, we support young students (and their teachers) with opportunities to explore careers in tech industry and learn computer science through high quality real world learning experiences. We are looking for an experienced team member to lead and scale Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship program that lets our students build theirs next steps as computer science professionals. Key job responsibilities This role will own the launch of our first combined scholarship and internship program in India, and also own end to end delivery of existing scholarship program that deeply touch the lives of our students. The PM will collaborate with external stakeholders and various teams within Amazon (including AITC Education Global Team, HR, hiring teams and cross functional teams) to enhance the program offerings by provide right internship and work immersion opportunities to AFE scholars. The PM will also be an active contributor to the vision for scaling or building new versions of these programs for India with a mindset of scaling them globally. As these programs are our deepest educational equity investments to support students and educators, this opportunity requires excellent communication and project management skills, the ability to navigate ambiguous environments, dive into details and see the big picture. This role will require an existing subject matter expertise in HR processes (demand generation, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, evaluation etc) or a demonstrated ability to quickly learn similarly complex systems. This role will require excellent skills in developing others - both directly as a mentor to students, and indirectly as the developer of curriculum in partnership with others. Given the start-up nature of this team, candidates must be builders and no task can be beneath them. This position reports to the Head of Amazon Future Engineer-India, Amazon in the Community. Key Responsibilities . Own the end to end experience of the Amazon Future Engineer scholarship program in India - from designing award criteria to attracting students to apply to supporting them through college graduation . Own the design and distribution of scholarship marketing materials in partnership with external partners - design agencies, non-profits . Design, launch and execute the first Amazon Future Engineer internship program in India - from initial design to intern offboarding . Own the development of student curriculum in partnership with external and internal partners - AFE Global team, tech training teams, and universities. . Work effectively with cross functional teams in Amazon, especially HR and intern hiring teams, and external stakeholders to expand the current scholarship program and improve efficiencies with existing resources . Build and maintain student and employee communities . Effectively work with external partners (like training institutes, universities, and non-profits). . Develop and issue program updates for key stakeholders, including monthly, quarterly, and annual updates . Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools . Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify issues, and devise contingency plans with key stakeholders. . Communicate program objectives and goals externally and internally via effective written and communication and public speaking. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience in product management PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Qualifications . Experience working or volunteering in education, learning & development, diversity & inclusion or other relevant field. . Demonstrated knowledge of the education sector, ideally of computer science education . Demonstrated ability to self-direct and prioritize constantly evolving workload . Microsoft Excel and Word skills, experience working with electronic project management skills . Talent management experience . Experience in working within the DEI space . Experience in technical product management roles . Event management experience, public speaking experience . Experience in defining program requirements using data or data analytics experience . History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
