About The Role: The SAP Basis Manager - role provides the overall ownership of the SAP applications within SAP Operations. This role requires operational expertise in SAP BASIS, Database & Azure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and useability of our SAP Landscape. Candidate will work with internal teams and Partner resources to ensure all Operations Processes are in place and being optimally executed to delivery SAP Availability and Useability. Optimize the return on investment, Main accountability: analyses and leads the resolution of the most complex technical issues while providing expert technical support and direction to multiple teams, and stakeholders management in Azure hosting. SAP ABAP and Java Stack systems scope: Performance & Capacity Management Alert Management Service & Partner Management Change, Release & Project Management Patching, Upgrade - Planning and execution SAP BASIS Administration and housekeeping Database Management (Oracle & HANA) Azure Compute Management (Linux, Compute & Managed Disk) Working on Audit needs (technical & Auditors) and SOX compliance across the landscape Resolving vulnerability for SAP Landscape Backup and Restore Proof Of Concept We are looking for professionals with these skills to achieve our goals. Experience leading teams and balancing conflicting priorities Minimum 15+ years SAP Basis hands on and Technical Architecture experience required Must have played an SAP BASIS Lead role for a large (50+ instances) SAP Environment. Technical expertise in the following Products: SAP ECC SAP APO SAP BW Azure Hosting DB - Oracle, HANA Netweaver SAP PI/PO SAP Solution Manager SAP GRC Involvement in the full project lifecycle of an SAP implementation which included delivery of a new/upgrade of SAP system experience Experience of hybrid operations (on-prem with cloud integrations) Experience of working in a global company including being part of a globally dispersed, multi-time zone support team. Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience a plus. Ability to manage escalation at Director level Effectively able to communicate and influence technical discussions with senior management when necessary & demonstrate leadership skills.
