Process Simulation Engineers are responsible for improving plant level capacity, performance based on optimization. Bottleneck simulations, Process optimization techniques have proven the concept of how industry benefit quickly compared to traditional methods. The role of an employee is to identify bottlenecks and associated critical parameters needed for capacity improvement.

• Perform Process Modeling simulations for improvement and optimization of Grace plants
• Perform steady and dynamic simulations of catalyst manufacturing unit operations & unit processes
• Perform data analysis, data processing, data visualization techniques to identify key variables for critical to quality parameters
• Perform suitable modeling approaches on plant data and develop correlations between key inputs vs outputs and develop a right directional matrix for plant operator to maintain process quality parameters within range
• Perform Time series analysis techniques to develop correlations as a function of time
• Support process project team to plan, identify & eliminate technical obstacles & deliver process engineering projects complete cycle.
• Build knowledge about Grace manufacturing process technology. Participate in global teams that address Process Engineering problems.
• Provide verbal and written communications about progress and results from projects.
• Carry out technology tracking and provide technology intelligence report in areas of interest to Grace.
• Provide customer technical support to Grace Customers in around the globe as needed.

Required Skills

• Excellent chemical engineering background knowledge and working experience on Mathematical Modeling of engineering problems.
• Good knowledge in statistical analysis tools like R, python, dataPARC, seek is preferable
• Excellent subject knowledge on chemical engineering principles and Working knowledge on simulation software Matlab, Aspen plus, Aspen Dynamics.
• Proficient in Fortran and/or C programming languages/Windows and Linux knowledge
• Should have knowledge on solid particle and solid-liquid/solid-gas modeling and simulation knowledge
• Should have good numerical methods knowledge
• Min. 5 years of experience in chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability for effective teamwork.
• High initiative and ability to meet deadlines and deliver results

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of related technical experience.
• Experience with data analytics/logistics knowledge is preferable.

Preferred Qualification

• M.E. in Chemical Engineering from a Premier educational institution in India
