Process Engineers at CRA work towards establishing and optimizing the process design used across various products at CRA. Their role is both in preliminary process design for potential clients, and process design for projects under execution.
Objectives of this Role

• 
  Identify technical scope viability for potential enquiries and tenders
  
• Develop process design across all functions of the organization
  
• Optimize product performance to meet and exceed regulations and economic outcome
  
• Ensure safety of equipment by optimization of process design

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• 
  Responsible for complete process design of equipment such as Flares & KOD selection, H2S Scrubbers, performance evaluation, emission calculation, risk assessment and risk mitigation.
• Develop and apply engineered solutions for customer applications by understanding the specifications and anticipating the customers' needs
• Prepare/Review Process documents such as

• Heat and Material balance & Process flow diagram (PFD)
  
• Process data sheet & Piping & Instrumentation diagram (P&ID)
  
• Control narratives & cause and effect matrix (C&E)
  
• Checking/Preparation of all Process Calculations like equipment sizing, Hydraulics, radiation analysis, Flare/Vent header, PSV, Blowdown etc.
  

• Review of vendor documents and technical bid evaluation
• Participates in safety, environmental and operability reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID, SIL).
• Handle a project independently and interacting with all parties concerned both internal and external
• Exhibit strong interpersonal competence and as an effective Team player, work with Multi-National Clients and demonstrate effective communication
• Guarantee the respect of best practice and standards, establish, and capitalize new standards when applicable
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site inspections, troubleshooting and performance tests activities

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Petrochemical Engineering
  
• Conversant with international standards like API, ASME, ASTM etc
  
• Strong knowledge and understanding of fluid mechanics and the thermal sciences
  
• Experience in combustion calculation and emission mitigation strategies
  
• Good problem solving and communication skills
  
• Follow company guidelines and ensure compliance
  
• Experience in Process Engineering for gas processing, refining or petrochemical industries; experience in combustion equipment will be also desirable
  
• Experience in Process Engineering for gas processing, refining or petrochemical industries; experience in combustion equipment will be also desirable

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  Experience in the refining / petrochemical industries
  
• Having experience in chemical engineering simulation software like HYSYS, UNISIM, FLARENET, FLARESIM, PIPENET, PIPESIM.
  
• Process engineering role supporting fired combustion equipment, combustion control, or related areas within refinery and chemical plant operations
  
• Very Strong skills set in MS package and capable of quickly learning new software systems
  
• Strong skills in programming Excel VBA and Python
  
• Professional experience leveraging computational fluid dynamics (CFD) or related consulting services
  
• Multi language skills
