Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, Bangalore has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer in Engineering Department. This position works closely with the Manufacturing Engineering Team and Responsible for Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Turning, turn mill, milling 5 axis, deep hole drilling, Grinding, honing, Thread rolling & Super finishing operations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Blue print/Drawing interpretation as per the industrial/Aerospace standards.
• Having good knowledge in GD & T and AS9100 audit requirements.
• Coordinate and developing manufacturing concepts and strategies to support CFT.
• Create New Product documentation like Statement of Work, Technical Query, Capability Assessment, Risk Assessment, Visual aids, Raw Material Assessment, PFD, Manufacturing Router, PFMEA, Control Plan and all technical requirement consumption & Gap analysis for manufacturing readiness.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions.
• Review Technical data and PO requirements received from customer and prepare for contract review.
• Experience in understand requirements from customer like Airbus & Boeing specifications
• Special Process (such as Anodizing, Black oxide, Passivation,
• Zinc, cadmium & Nickel plating, protective treatments) study and flow down the implicit and explicit customer requirements to the suppliers through technical documents like Visual & Masking Aids.
• Interfaces with CFT functions to coordinate the release of new products & Improvement of existing products.
• Adheres to design & manufacturing standards and procedures governing documents and data control for the associated business group.
• Coordinating with Change review board and with cross functional teams for Review ECR for internal & external impact, effective implementation for NCR, ECR documentation.
• Assists to investigate and resolve manufacturing-related issues.
• Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving.
• Handling Transfer work documentations and customer approval.
• Requires knowledge necessary to perform the job function such as manufacturability analysis, product structure, bill of materials, product safety requirements, material handling, and root cause analysis.
• Performing 8D and CAPA for customer complaints.
• Hands on experience of CATIA, 2D to 3D Part modelling, Assembly using Catia V5.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Turning, Turn mill,
• Milling 5 axis, Deep hole drilling, Grinding, honing, Thread rolling &
• Super finishing operations.
• Experience with Boeing and Airbus specifications and requirements is highly desirable.

Position Requirements

Ideally, the jobholder should possess the following Education Qualifications, Skills and experience.

Education Qualification: BE Mechanical / BE Production / DME (With 6 years\xe2\x80\x99 Experience Min).

Indicative Years of Experience Required: 6-8 Years in the relevant field. Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.

Skills Set Required:

• The applicant should have knowledge & experience of various metal cutting processes like \xe2\x80\x93 Turning, Milling, Drilling, boring, slitting etc.
• Hands on experience of CATIA, 2D to 3D Part modelling, Assembly using Catia V5.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Turning, Turn mill,
• Milling 5 axis, Deep hole drilling, Grinding, honing, Thread rolling &
• Super finishing operations.
• Experience with Boeing and Airbus specifications and requirements is highly desirable.
