Job Title: Delivery Assurance – Database Lead Corporate Title: Vice President
Division: CTO
Location: London Hiring Manager: Santosh Panicker Overview: Business Technology Integration (BTI) work with both CIO teams and the IT organisation. BTI act to both ensure that business requirements are taken into account within the IT org and also that IT projects are planned for and supported by the businesses. This role is essential to both maintaining and adapting the IT landscape of DB to meet current and future needs of the business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the relationship between BTI and IT projects, ensuring that business requirements are understood by the projects
  • Ensure that scope and requirements for new and ongoing IT projects are understood both from a high-level management view, and at a low level Server/CI/App view
  • Work with data management teams to ensure that inventories and data views are maintained and developed to facilitate the IT projects
  • Contribute to ongoing BTI standard setting
  • Input to and represent BTI on a number of forums, being able to switch between representing the businesses or the IT organisation according to the other participants
  • Provide escalation support for the engagement between IT projects and CIO teams
  • Proactive engagement on new projects and opportunities which could benefit or impact application teams
  • Provide inputs for project and CIO/Reporting Unit centric reports
  • Adhere to DB’s Risk and Issue recording standards
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 10+ years’ experience within IT organisations
  • Good understanding of common infrastructure, application development, and support issues and trends
  • Advanced Project Management skills
  • Able to influence others without having management relationships
  • Ability to work with large data sets (10s – 100k rows) to spot patterns and translate into business communications
  • Exemplary communication skills, able to tailor communications from technical low level to C-level
  • Can react to fast changing requirements and priorities
  • Comfortable joining projects at all stages of the project lifecycle, from initiation through to late-stage recovery
