As part of Microsoft Engineering, the FastTrack team has one of the primary roles delivering these strategies and technical deployments with customers. The team is comprised of individuals that share the passion to work with our customers to realize business value and transformation in their business using Microsoft 365 and related technologies. To successfully deliver this, FastTrack is constantly evolving pursuing innovative ideas and approaches to engage with our customers to get them to work smarter, faster, and more securely every day.
This role will be part of the team leading that evolution and will specifically focus on supporting complex transition for customers coming from non-Microsoft platforms, work directly with, and be accountable for the end-to-end customer transition. Additionally, this role will help drive FastTrack and Microsoft 365 product strategy for these transitions. To be successful in the role will require an individual that is collaborative, self-driven, and can work with ambiguity while still driving success.

Responsibilities


To be successful in this role the individual will need to have both technical depth and breadth, the ability to quickly understand modern technologies and customer needs, and the ability to align teams within Microsoft (Engineering, STU, ATU, M&O, Services) and partners to deliver the customer's transition. You will have direct customer interaction to collaboratively build transition plans that include the perspective of the required delivery and partner teams. This role will need to work through customer unique challenges and gain commitment from the customer to move forward with those plans. Accountability of the fulfilment of the plans sits with this role working with the various responsible teams as delivery occurs. Your impact in this role will be measured in:
  • Delivery of transition for critical customers and programmatic management of compete motions
  • Ability to co-develop with your colleagues the overall competitive platform motion,
  • Ability to define repeatable technical solution
  • Ability to manage product engineering while working alongside our customers operations, partners, and scale delivery teams, and Microsoft field teams.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with various audiences



As the competitive landscape of Microsoft 365 is ever evolving this role requires the ability to:
  • Learn and technically ramp quickly on new platforms and products
  • Create technical specifications and architect scalable technical solutions.
  • Source technical expertise from others and work cross organization to define technical strategy, approach, and solutions
  • Have a Solid understanding and experience implementing the Microsoft 365 suite including productivity, identity, and security features
  • Have a Solid understanding and experience designing identity strategies & architecture (cloud and hybrid).


Qualifications


This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic and critical thinking, and technical expertise on Microsoft 365 deployment and products. Successful candidates need to have experience having success with customers, demonstrating outstanding cross-group collaboration, working through ambiguous situations, and can self-start on work efforts. This role also requires experience in dealing with both technical and business senior leaders.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a senior technical resource with regular customer interactions required
  • 5+ years' experience in managing technical delivery with demonstrated experience in cross team solution design and implementation required
  • Technical knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite (LEVEL 200 across suite) required
  • 2 to 3 years of Deployment Experience on Microsoft 365 with Enterprise customersrequired
  • Previous experience in working with global delivery teams required
  • Superior communication and consultation skills required

Additional Qualifications:
  • Ability to explain Modern Work technical vision, roadmap, key solutions, and technical architectures required
  • Great customer facing skills including the ability to rapidly establish and maintain personal and organizational credibility with Customers and Partners through deep delivery knowledge and effective communications required
  • Proven record of accomplishment delivering on team revenue or usage targets preferred
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with field and product teams to ensure customer success required
  • Growth mindset: drive to stay up to date with changes to enterprise technology required
  • Enterprise-scale experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management preferred
  • Knowledge of how to work with Microsoft Field teams and Partners in landing the Microsoft 365 platform with customers preferred
  • Experience in dealing with Senior technical and business leaders externally and within Microsoft to ensure customer success preferred
  • BS or MS in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
