Job Description

Brief : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Postgres DBA to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance, security, and reliability of our Postgres databases. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database administration, be proficient in Postgres, and have experience in database architecture, design, and implementation. Key Result Areas:

• Install, configure, and maintain Postgres databases

• Configure and handle multi-replication

• Develop and implement database backup and recovery procedures

• Monitor database performance and tune database parameters for optimal performance

• Manage database security and access control

• Plan and implement database upgrades and migrations

• Design and implement database structures, tables, and indexes

• Troubleshoot database issues and provide resolutions

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance and ensure scalability

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in database administration

Skills required:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or related field

• At least 5 years of experience in Postgres database administration

• Proficient in SQL and experience with other database technologies such as MS SQL server.

• Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and implementation

• Familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures

• Experience with database security and access control

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Educational /Professional Qualification: \xc2\xb7 B.E./ B.Tech./ M.E./ M. Tech/ BCA/ MCA/ Msc.IT with equivalent practical experience. Work Experience:

• 3-5 years IN Progress Database

Competencies Required:

• Experience with cloud

• Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools such as PostgreSQL Enterprise Manager

• Knowledge of database replication and clustering

• Good to have experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl
