Position : Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Psychology cum Counsellor Location : Kanpur and Lucknow Job Type : Full-time Job Overview : We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate individual to fulfil the dual role of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Psychology and Counsellor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in psychology while also providing counselling support to students to promote their mental well-being and academic success. Responsibilities : Teaching: 1. Develop and deliver comprehensive and engaging lessons in psychology for postgraduate students. 2. Utilize innovative teaching methodologies to foster critical thinking and practical application of psychological concepts. 3. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to academic growth and personal development. Counselling : 1. Provide individual and group counselling sessions to address the diverse needs of students. 2. Conduct assessments and develop personalized counselling plans to support students in overcoming academic, personal, and emotional challenges. 3. Offer guidance and resources to help students manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Advocacy and Outreach : 1. Advocate for the mental health needs of students within the institution and contribute to the development of policies and initiatives that promote student well-being. 2. Conduct outreach activities and workshops to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote healthy coping strategies. Qualifications: Master\'s or Ph.D. degree in Psychology or Counselling Psychology. Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and empathy. Knowledge of counselling theories, techniques, and ethical guidelines. Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish trust with students.
