NOCC is staffed 24X7 by expert Platform Operations engineers, based out of the global command centers. The Command centers are in - Bangalore, Cambridge, Krakow Partner with the best This is an opportunity to work in a large scale, global network operations department. Working directly with Akamai\'s product you are involved in every facet of Akamai\'s network operations. You can contribute to Akamai\'s success while being part of a very important team. As a Platform Operations Engineer II, you will be responsible for: Monitoring, managing, and maintaining infrastructure with 3,50,000+ Linux servers, 7000+ Layer 3 and 22,000+ Layer 2 devices. Responding to hardware/software/network/OS related alerts, in a timely fashion as per pre-defined SLAs. Troubleshooting network issues with ISPs globally, addressing packet loss, latency, routing, and anomalies in traffic patterns. Analyzing network traffic, performance metrics to detect anomalies and resolve issues in packet loss, latency, and routing. Identifying and resolving problems related to switches, examples (but not limited to) switch upgrades, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) issues, VLAN configuration, faulty network interfaces Troubleshooting network issues in Akamai fabric clusters and backbone network. Supporting teams in addressing Attack/Abuse complaints, content blocking, access degradation, and planned online events for customers. Working Shift details: Fri/Mon (8 hrs.), Sat/Sun (12 hrs.) Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have Technical Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree from a reputed board/university with an excellent track record. Have 1+ year experience in networking, in a NOC or similar environment and be CCNA certified. Have experience with Routers/Switches - Cisco, Juniper Have excellent analytical, problem-solving & communication skills.
