About the Job This position sits within the Security Operations Team, part of the IT Security & Enterprise Architecture function. Security Operations is a newly created team to support the products and services provided by the Security function. This team is designed to be an operational team, bridging the gap between Service Delivery and Security Services. The Security Operations Engineer position is a hands-on role providing a broad range of support services across the Security product set. This role would suit an individual who is looking to gain experience within a 3rd line support environment, someone who is looking to break into Security. We are looking for someone who has experience troubleshooting issues within a large organisation. The successful candidate will be dynamic, analytical and be able to come up with smart solutions. We are looking for a real problem solver. We are looking for Security Operations Engineer to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Bangalore/Gurgaon, IN. Read more about how you can thrive with us. How will you contribute to the team? To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Need to support Global BAU operations from India for security solutions
• Constantly working to ensure more availability, reliability, and speed in our managed IT services, which deliver a daily user experience
• Ensuring we have a modern security environment that can detect and mitigating emerging threats while being capable of scaling to meet all user needs
• Follow general & security best practices to support all sector & functions. Apply common standards and processes globally so all employees have the same great experience when they require IT support
• Contribute to strategy discussion within the team
• Identify and make recommendations on improvements to Security services
• Zero Trust strategic approach
• Own problems and escalate to external vendors as required

What will you contribute?

• Proactive work attitude, ability to work independently while still acting as part of a team
• Problem solving, a desire to maintain a “Fix Once” approach
• Experience with designing and writing troubleshooting guides (Knowledge base articles) for support teams
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
• Great communicator, ability to convey technical information in a non-technical way.
• Familiarity and experience of LAN, WAN, Cloud platforms (Azure)
• Highly competent at configuration and troubleshooting of Zscaler Proxy
• Zscaler Internet Access and Zscaler Private Access)
• Ability to troubleshoot a complex technical issue using tools such as Wireshark and/or TCPDump on network devices and/or various client/servers.
• Adhere to ITIL best practice procedure in relation to all aspects of change and configuration management. ITILv4 certification will be a benefit.

Experience Required (Desirable)

• Scripting with PowerShell. Automating administration-based tasks.
• Knowledge of monitoring & reporting based systems, ideally SCOM.
• Server build processes, both Physical and Virtual
• Managing, supporting and monitoring a Microsoft Server Platform
• Networking fundamentals and troubleshooting
• Understanding of ZDX
• Firemon Security Manager
