About the Job The Infrastructure Operations Engineer position is a hands-on role to manage, monitor and support the Server Infrastructure (physical & virtual), VMware, storage Infrastructure (Isilon & NetApp), backup solutions and DHCP services. Working within the Enterprise Compute Operations Team within the Infrastructure Division you will provide support with monitoring the services, resolving incidents, implementing customer requests, delivering on projects, and providing operational support & services. This role would be suited to an individual who has experience with supporting & monitoring a large server environment, someone who has proven experience troubleshooting issues within a large (5000+ User, Multi-Region) environment. We are looking for someone who can be dynamic and a real problem solver. We are looking for Infrastructure Operations Engineer ( Windows, VMWare, Citrix ) to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Bangalore/Gurgaon, IN. Read more about how you can thrive with us. How will you contribute to the team? To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • At least 5-6 years of experience is required for this role to be considered
  • Supporting and monitoring the global infrastructure server environment using vRops, HP One View and SCOM.
  • Capacity management for infrastructure server resources, both reporting and responding to.
  • Responding to incidents from either users or our alerting systems.
  • Monitoring storage infrastructure, backups, assisting with file restores and data archive requests.
  • NetBackup monitoring, tape rotation, import/export, restore, policy creation/modification.
  • User and Active Directory groups creation, modification, deletion.
  • Managing, supporting, monitoring of DHCP server/services.
  • Building windows 2012/2016 servers with pxe boot, hardening & decommissioning.
  • Writing knowledgebase documentation, processes and assisting to team members.
What will you contribute? To be successful in this role we would expect you to have hands-on experience with:
  • Managing, supporting, and monitoring a Windows 2012/2016/2019 server platform
  • Managing and monitoring server hardware (HP & Cisco preferred)
  • Proactive maintenance and responding to user incidents
  • Citrix support
  • Managing and monitoring of NetBackup/Restore services
  • Server build processes, both Physical and Virtual
  • Active Directory and security group modification
  • L1/L2 /L3 troubleshooting of infrastructure issues and fixing the alerts
  • Experience with working with other teams across the globe
You must also be able to demonstrate experience with:
  • Microsoft monitoring systems (SCOM & SCCM preferred)
  • Managing and monitoring storage platforms (EMC and NetApp Preferred)
  • Service Now and reporting systems
Desirable Technical Experiences
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
  • VMWare 5.5 and above
  • Citrix fundamentals
  • NetApp, EMC Isilon fundamentals
  • NetBackup v8 and beyond fundamentals
  • Networking fundamentals
  • System Management Systems (SCOM, SCCM, McAfee) fundamentals
  • ITIL Fundamentals – Version ¾
Behavioural Competencies
  • Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements
  • Clear and fluent English (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to build and maintain efficient working relationships with remote teams
  • Demonstrate ability to take ownership of and accountability for relevant products and services
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and complete your own work, whilst remaining a team player
  • Willingness to engage with and work in other technologies
