Software Development Lead Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of software engineers and architects aligning technology initiatives with business goals to drive growth and competitive advantage.
• Provide technical guidance, feedback, and support to ensure successful project execution.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
• Drive the adoption of modern software development practices, tools, and methodologies, including AI, to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability of software solutions.
• Champion a culture of quality, technical excellence, and continuous improvement, implementing best practices for code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Establish key metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, architecture decisions, and technology investments that align with business goals and future market trends.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the company\'s software development strategy.
• Work in a highly collaborative setting within the SCRUM framework.
• Support hiring efforts to build a high performing team to execute against product roadmap with growth opportunity to transition into engineering managerial role

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Proven track record of successful leadership in software development.
• Strong technical background and hands-on experience in software engineering, with proficiency in multiple programming languages, software design principles, and architecture patterns.
• Knowledge of PHP, GoLang, ReactJS preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Proven experience in driving software product development from concept to delivery, with a focus on quality and user experience.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to align technical strategies with overall business objectives.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and scalable distributed systems.

Hours: Available during standard US business hours (9am-5pm EST or 8:30am-4:30pm EST) Job Type: Full-time
