Summary

Summary
As Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing and providing troubleshooting, repair and regular maintenance for the wind farm’s turbines. This is a hands-on role for an energetic wind turbine technician with proven supervisory and planning skills.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform preventive maintenance on wind turbines: Interpret the requirements of GE manuals, specifications, bulletins, work instructions, etc. and devise work plans including all required resources. check bolt torques, lubricate moving parts, replace air and oil filters, perform cleaning, check oil level and coolant level, calibrate inductive turbine sensors.
  • Perform unplanned/corrective maintenance and complete all necessary technical and business documentation on time and accurate
  • Perform internal and external inspection on the wind turbine components.
  • Adapt 5S methodology and PDR ( plan- do - review ) in day-to-day activities at customer sites.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the organization’s EHS and associated policies/procedures
  • Maintain and provide accurate information of the turbine operation of the project.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with maintenance solutions, according to the metrics of service, terms, performance and quality.
  • Complete all necessary technical and business documentation on time and accurate.
  • Comply with the integrity and compliance guidelines.
  • No fear to work at heights ( 80-150 mtr)for O&M activities and flexible to travel to sites.
  • Ability to multitask on consistent basis.
  • Record keeping of day to day activities in digital forms.
Desired Characteristics
  • Diploma/ITI in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
  • With 10+ years of work experience in Wind turbine field service.
  • Demonstrate consistently high levels of performance in all areas of responsibility
  • Work efficiently without direct supervision
  • Customer Service quality mindset
  • Knowledge in ISO requirements
  • Ready to serve, as requested by Site Lead / Service Manager
  • Strong verbal and written communications and computer skills including Microsoft Office suites like Word, Excel and Power point
  • Ability / Willingness to travel Domestic and International and should be a good team player
Required Qualifications
  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires basic experience in the Services & On Site Services. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
