We are looking for Network Security Engineer - Operations to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Bangalore/Gurugram, IN. The Network Security Operations Engineer position is a hands-on role to manage, monitor and support the network infrastructure and services. Working within the Network Security Operations Team you will provide support with resolving incidents, implementing customer requests, delivering on projects, proposing service improvements, and mentoring more junior members of the team. This role will suit an individual who has experience within a 1st or 2nd line support environment and has proven experience troubleshooting network related issues within a large organisation. And must have a minimum of CCNA / CCSA certification and 5+ years of experience. How will you contribute to the team? To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following

• Work as per shift schedule and be available as per on-call roster.
• Respond quickly and effectively to network issues, incidents, and outages.
• Resolving up to 3rd line network related incident support calls.
• Provide mentoring to develop more junior members of the team.
• Evaluating network Security Operations change requests.
• Perform system maintenance and upgrade tasks.
• Use and configure network monitoring tools to identify and address issues before service degradation occurs.
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, processes, and procedures.
• Action tickets in the Network Operations Team’s queues in accordance with company-defined best practice.
• Delivery of BAU project work and user requests.
• Evaluating network performance issues.
• Keep abreast of developments in networking and network monitoring.
• Identifying opportunities for service improvement via automation or procedural change.
• The above responsibilities may be revised based on the business requirement.

What will you contribute? Essential Technical Requirements To be successful in this role we would expect you to have in-depth industry experience with

• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Highly competent at configuration and troubleshooting of networking products – Checkpoint.
• firewalls and Cisco ASA.
• F5 LTM, APM any additional modules will be a benefit.
• NetScaler.
• LAN & WAN experience.
• Familiar with Cloud platforms.
• Ability to methodically troubleshoot a complex technical issue using tools such as WireShark and TCPDump on network devices and/or various servers.
• Adhere to ITIL best practice procedure in relation to all aspects of change and configuration management.
• ITILv4 certification will be a benefit.
• Own problems and escalate to external vendors as required.
• Experience of network management tools.
• Cisco ISE.

You must also be able to demonstrate hands-on experience with:

• Checkpoint firewalls.
• F5 LTM or NetScaler.
• Desirable Technical Experiences.
• Cisco ASA.
• LAN & WAN experience.
• SolarWinds.
• Thousand Eyes.
• Cisco ISE.
• Microsoft NPS
