MySQL:
Install, Configure and administer MySQL database servers. Perform upgrades of the database and software to new release levels and handle database migrations. Create backup`s and maintain recovery policies and procedures. Work with IT Manager to establish\maintain database security structures, encryption, and SOX compliance procedures. Create and manage database schema objects including tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and triggers. Configure and administer database replication between servers, across Local Area Network and Wide Area Network for high availability and disaster recovery. Perform database tuning, coordinate application releases, and troubleshoot database issues including slowness and latencies. Analyze existing database systems and recommend improvements. Build the automation scripts for managing database infrastructure. Contribute to technical research on new technologies, processes or procedures. Works with team members to ensure technology is effectively supporting the enterprise.
MySQL Databases of various versions(5.x, 8.x)
Implement database high availability solutions such as replication, Continuent Tungsten, MySQL Orchestrator
Additional data platforms such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, SQL Server, Redis, Kafka, or Elasticsearch
Database upgrade and migrations
Monitoring, backup and recovery tools
Database performance tuning
Automation scripts using Bash/Python/Ansible for managing database infrastructure
